«Keyreel Raskolenko is world class as a violinist and composer. He has a passion for Celtic music both Irish and Scottish and both his solo performance an his sets with The Wallace Band had audiences in Scotland in total awe of his talent. And I am very proud to have had the pleasure of performing alongside him.»

Mary Kathleen Burke, singer, radio presenter

Curiosity, vivid imagination, passion for travel and new experience – all that defines a universal musician and broad-minded person. Travelling gives him unique impressions, foreign cultures – knowledge, passionate people – confidence of his own way. His way of sharing the love for music and his experiences inspires the audiences all over the globe.

Perhaps it was the birthplace - a generous sunny Uzbekistan – that determined creative way of thinking and zest for life which are the basis of any man of the art.

The fact that little Keyreel was interested in music became clear at the age of two: he played vinyl records with music tales over and over again. At six years this boy diagnosed with "perfect pitch" entered a music school. Keyreel graduated from the Republican Central Special Music School n.a. V.A.Uspensky in violin, composition and symphony conducting.

Keyreel wrote his first composition when he was eight and at the age of twelve he gave a local radio interview and performed his first works. At the age of seventeen he got the highest score at the entrance exams to Gnesin's Russian Academy of Music to study violin under Professor Kh. Akhtyamova. He also attended the class of quartet of Professor V.Berlinsky, the founder and soul of Borodin String Quartet.

Keyreel was eager to learn as much as he possibly could, that is why he attended festivals and workshops in France, Belgium, Holland and toured with the orchestra in Europe. He never stopped writing music. His works were performed and recorded in the Great Hall of the Gnesin's Academy and in The Moscow House of Composers.

He has worked in the State Symphony Cinema Orchestra and Pavel Slobodkin's Center Chamber Orchestra and also made arrangements for «Sonore» chamber music ensemble and «Just Enjoy String Band».

His passion for discovery and self-perfection determines Keyreel's interest for different styles of music. He has already mastered classic techniques of violin, American blue-grass and he is one of the best Russian performers in celtic music (Irish, Scottish) on the fiddle. Keyreel Raskolenko became the first Russian finalist on «All-Ireland» folk music competition in Tullamore and he also took part in Alasdair Fraser's fiddle course on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in 2010.

«I met a totally incredible fiddle player from Russia on the Isle of Skye.

He knew every Scottish tune and was teaching me many of them.»

Hanneke Cassel, fiddler

Willing to go beyond the known, he travels as often as possible and tries to learn new styles of playing violin, his beloved instrument.
